In 2026, the Bogotá International Book Fair (FILBo) will take place from April 21 to May 4, 2026, with India as the Guest of Honor.
The Librarians· Mission is a program that is part of FILBo·s Professional Days under its Business line. Its purpose is to promote the acquisition of Colombian catalogues for international distribution. To achieve this, the Colombian Book Chamber and Corferias provide financial support to librarians from documentation centers and international libraries who are interested in attending FILBo to make acquisitions. In addition, the program offers an agenda of activities for librarians, including the International Librarians· Meeting (April 22-24, 2026), thematic tours of the fair, among others.
Who is it for?
Librarians, library science professionals, and those responsible for acquisitions at foreign libraries or documentation centers interested in Colombian and Latin American publishing.
Program benefits
- Financial support for airfare (up to USD 400).
- Two nights of accommodation (April 22 and 23).
- A permanent access badge to the fairgrounds from April 21 to May 4.
- Access to information about FILBo 2026 exhibitors and access to the agenda with exhibitors and industry agents in Colombia.
Conditions for receiving financial support: - Travel must be in economy class.
- Airline miles cannot be used to purchase tickets.
- The reimbursement granted by the organizers will be made via bank transfer after your visit.
- A copy of the passport and the airline ticket invoice, showing the ticket price, must be submitted.
